Many of my paintings embody and celebrate the important role of a woman in society .I depict the woman form as a modern contemporary woman of different races.So I respect the woman no matter where she is from and she takes a role of a goddess where the different birds and animals of Goa surround,protect and revere her.Creation has started from her.Hence the flora,fauna and wildlife of Goa are all around this woman form where the rich,vibrant colours of Goa play intuitively to produce a tapestry in rhythmic harmony which reflects the moods of Goa.I attempt to show cross cultural connections with local symbolism.These compositional elements appear in the surreal world created within the canvas which I hope will leave memories on the canvas of the mind to bring social change like giving women a rightful place in society,environmental preservation etc.
