Alex Perez born in Santiago, Chile, in 1946, fourth generation of artists. After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Santiago, he worked in his father's studio - the Ibero-Chilean painter Eduardo Perez - where he acquired most of his artistic knowledge and skill. In 1964, he moved to Israel, where he worked until 2003. Currently he resides in Chile, where he continues his work.
His paintings fuses a sophisticated color sensibility with a contemporary realism approach. He seeks out subjects that reflect a beauty, peaceful and harmonious ambience, as a means of transporting the viewer to a serene contemplative visual experience. "Beauty and Simpleness" is the artwork key of Perez landscapes and coastal views.
Perez uses numerous techniques to create as oils, acrylics, warecolor, drawings, engravings and murals. His fine art also includes
works of stained glass and sculpture in stone.
On his fathers side, Alex Perez is the fourth generation of artists trained in fields ranging from painting to architecture.
