Italian Carrara cervaiole marble. embodies the concept of synchronicity- two events, the pyramidal formed spaces, occur at the same time, inter-penetrating, thus forming the hexagon in the center: the void at the center--the synchronistic event. I create large-scale sculpture for public & other environments round the world: throughout the States, in 27 different countries to date: 24 throughout China alone. I work on any scale, in a wide range of materials & in various motifs & types of installation. Many such projects have been constructed with stainless steel, various kinds of stone, along with water, light, glass, bronze & other metals & materials. My sculpture may be seen as iconic, or symbolic, often referencing a center: actual or spatial. Sculptures often work wt balance; space in contrast wt form; implied space; ambiguity if incorporating mirror surfaces; light & darkness; a continuum or movement such as a vortex. Most projects are abstract, some figurative. From 1951 we grew up living round the whole world since Father was a ground water geologist. I have continued the tradition as an international sculptor.
