Dafu Yan

Dafu Yan, an artist, was born in Changde, Hunan Province in 1994. He graduated from the Department of Oil Painting of the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts with a bachelor's degree in Shenyang in July 2016. Then, In January 2020, he graduated from the Chelsea College of Art, University of the Arts London with a Distinction Master's degree. Currently, he is one of an owner of 33ml Offspace, working and living in Hangzhou and Shanghai. The media of his works include installation, painting, moving images, and setting. The main context of the works is related to abstract social issues, especially the interactive relationship of energy, matter, and information in the context of globalization. He hopes that through the study of specific problems, it can be transformed into visual media works with subjective aesthetics.
