Gemma Comber

Gemma Comber, also known as g.by.the.sea, is an artist living and working in Ramsgate, Kent, UK. Her work drifts between beautiful florals and refreshing coastal scenes, each painting a moment of stillness and story. With her signature @ woven into titles, Gemma drops a poetic pin - a hint of place, memory or dream, waiting to be explored.

Gemma holds a Fine Art degree from the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) and also qualified teacher status, having taught art for six years. She now works full time from her garden studio by the sea, continuing to explore the intersection of memory, place and emotion.

She has recently exhibited at the Turner-Rowe Art Centre in Kent.
