“ I DON’T HAVE ANY RESPECT FOR A CLEAN CANVAS “

My name is Iona Shroder Napolitano, I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
My relationship with art began as a girl, influenced by my grandfather Alfred Schroeder, born in London, artist, traveler, accountant and patriot. His hands full of stories led my first steps through the painting and, before leaving for London again, he gave me his box of brushes and fascinating pots, and it was here that I was marked forever, at the age of five.
I dedicated myself to painting forests and flowers, motivated by the environment where I grew up; I won my first and only contest at age 12.
I studied Architecture always attracted by the harmony and expressiveness of the forms, but the painting already took it with me and ended up winning this internal game, so here I am sharing with you my works. I like to investigate, I am very observant and introspective, I feel that it is the color that gives meaning to the form. Each work has a particular character that defines my work, gives it the imprint and that unique feature that defines each artist.

I studied Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Design at the National University of Rosario, Argentina, UNR.
I did Fine Arts at the UNR, at the University of Humanities in the city of Rosario, Argentina.
I am a fashion and textile designer.
