Nancy Goodman Lawrence

I am a Los Angeles mixed media painter with a love of color, pristine surfaces and a sense of the narrative that can lie beneath the surface. I often invent abstract shapes as a starting point for my work. The image evolves from this beginning as I continue to build forms, and a complete painting emerges. I use acrylic paints as well as maps, vintage style wrapping paper and other found papers in my work.

I have a B.A. in Fine Art from UCLA and have taken workshops in lithography, watercolor and the figure.
