Patrice Elmer

Born in 1949.
After technical studies, graduates with a baccalaureat diploma in philosophy through Collège Cévenol International high school.
Creates first ceramic studio in 1971 back from a year of french teaching in northern Ireland.
1973 laureates at the « Salon des Ateliers d'Art » Paris. Ceramics sculpture in stoneware and porcelain.
1978-1980 build a 43 feet steel ketch, sails to the west indies and start architectural practice in Saint-Barth. 1984 sails to Baltimore where I sell my boat. Back to France in 1985, build my new home and establish « Poterie du Mas loin ». Contemporary decorative ceramics in earthenware.
Visit Madagascar in 1991, fall in love with this country and establish an architectural business on the island of Nosy Be that I will run till 2012 when I retired back to France.
Last year an acute myeloblastic leukemia forced me in a sterile hospital bed room for six months and gave me the opportunity to realize that my knowledge in 3D modeling and architectural rendering could be very well used in creating work of art that I am now offering you …..and by the way, I am now perfectly fine and still in a urge of creation!
