I am Francesco Coppola, an Italian photographer living near Milan who came to photography through life struggles. After my father's battle with Alzheimer's and the end of an eleven-year relationship in 2015, photography became my language for processing grief. I shoot feminine beauty — going from aesthetic surface to psychological depth. An attempt to understand and celebrate what they are, beyond the obvious. The beauty I frame is never decorative, rather is a language for healing, for me and, I hope, for those who look.
