Rebeca Lorbada

I studied Advertising Art but I have worked in the fashion industry for twenty years as creative director, designer and illustrator for companies like Pepe Jeans or Inditex.

In 2015 I founded my own fashion brands Monikako Kids and Sakura Life Organic, a venture that I found both exciting and overflowing.

In 2020 I studied the first concepts of Web 3 and Blockchain technology and its different applications to art projects, I helped artists and other sectors to understand this technology and create their own projects through conferences and courses.

But it is 2023 when I feel the need to dedicate myself to the canvas exclusively after receiving a hard blow. This fact leads me to reflection, meditation and listening to my own being where I find my real purpose in life finding the need to communicate my experience and transformation in the face of adversity.

Art and creativity for me is a way of life and has always been an instant part of my daily life. Observing, investigating, thinking and transforming an idea through imagination and transmitting it in a work is always a challenge, and these challenges are what move me every day to surprise myself by experimenting with new techniques and ideas.
