Sandra Graham is a professional landscape artist working from her studio in the Wyre Forest. She gained her BA (Hons) in Painting and History of Art & Design in 1995 at Wolverhampton University. She is also a qualified lecturer and taught in Further Education as well as working as a freelance artist leading community arts projects such as Art in Mind and Sandwell Third Age Arts – a charity providing access to the arts for the elderly and people with dementia.
She has a fascination for the land and sea and uses many mediums to capture its ever-changing moods and textures. Her work is held in both public and private collections both at home and abroad.
"For me the process of painting is a kind of joyful struggle, a deeply complex and unpredictable journey to find harmony and unity I use different size palette knives to create textures with the use of controlled flicks and gestures in an attempt to communicate a sense of place.”
