Born and raised in Reunion Island, Sandrine Langlade is a French emerging abstract expressionist artist living in the Netherlands.
In 2018 she was awarded the Leonardo Da Vinci international art prize in Florence and the Tribute to Tiziano prize in Venezia, during the Biennial of Nations.
Her exhibitions are worldwide, mainly in Europe (Paris, Berlin, Roma, Barcelona...), the USA (New-York, Miami) and South-America (Bogota, Brazilia, Porto Alegre).
Her work is an explosion of bright colours, with geometrical truncated, asymmetrical and sometimes figurative shapes.
Two recurrent subjects emphasize her pictorial style: nature/universe and femininity, on a synaesthesia.
Proposing different levels of views and interpretations, her artistic approach mainly deals with boundaries. Geographic, physic, mental… tangible and suggested limits in the various aspects of our world.
