TATAI - A graduate of ASP (Academy of Fine Arts) In Wroclaw, where she gained a diploma in painting, in professor Krzysztof Skarbek’s studio (at the Department of Sculpture and Painting). She goes in for easel painting as well as drawing and photography. For her, painting is a journey and, above all, a search and personal response. She is mainly inspired by critical points in human condition, in the meeting of different cultures, between realism and symbolism. She doesn’t identify herself with any of these styles. She takes part in post-contest and individual exhibitions in her country and abroad. “For me, painting is and will always be a journey of endless opportunities. White canvas is , in this case, like a ticket for this journey, and this is a one-way ticket because a part of myself always stays in the place where I’m going to get( on condition I manage to get there). This is why a picture will never be a mirror which shows a real reflection of a moment . It can only be a fragment of a hidden entirety, the one which has been looked for in the area of memories, feelings, in reference to the places, bygone as well as longed-for.
