Valerie Constantino

Valerie Constantino is a visual and literary artist, working with a range of traditional and contemporary hybrid art forms. Seminal studies in textiles led to her broad investigations of materiality particularly as it illuminates the unpredictable qualities of life.. She writes: "Recent work extends these sensibilities, where ecological and societal systems are fluid, and the earth and its inhabitants are susceptible. In response, the study of materiality is an apt poetic agent, ever expressive of global flux and the migratory nature of being." Constantino maintains an active interdisciplinary practice and exhibition record.
