My work is motivated by developing understanding and consciousness. Observing the way we are in the world and the effects of the systems we have in place. Exploring our ability to transmit and create. Our ability to transcend and the interconnectedness of everything. I am fascinated by our ability to act and react unconsciously. And our ability to transcend that.
I'm interested in exploring symbols in our society, the use and misappropriation of them. And essentially realizing our potential as human beings through developing our emotional and spiritual intelligence.

Using painting, drawing and mixed media to explore.
I paint mainly in acrylics but am not confined to them. The essence of the subject can determine a very different medium. I use writing and voice as a medium of expression and to communicate the process which allows more accessibility to the work .
My practice is rooted in the experiential, accessing knowledge through nature, the body,
the mind, intuitively guided. Personal feelings, emotions and experiences inspire. As well as physical places which serve as a gateway and a starting point. In these cases a good portion of the process will involve representation of the physical place or subject as ...
