Wayne Slingerland

I am Wayne Robert Slingerland. Born in Hillingdon Hospital, West London, in 1965.

Raised in the town of Ruislip where I guess my early inspiration came from.

As a kid I always enjoyed making things and drawing and it wasn't until later in life, having danced on a wall in India from which I fell and busted both my ankles, that having returned home, to relieve my hours of boredom, I started using a little paint set with acrylics. From this, I bought a small canvas and bought some oil paints and it is from there that my hobby began. Before long I was painting large canvasses.

Now, 6 years on, my name as an artist in my local area is quite well known and although I'm often commissioned I usually give them away to people I wish to have them.

Now my favourite passions are getting drunk and smothered in paint! Guzzle Ahoy!
