Marta Bazak is a Ukrainian artist working in painting, graphics and decorative arts, in particular in the textile technique of tapestry. She has been participating in exhibitions since 1977.
Marta Bazak’s artworks are preserved in the Taras Shevchenko National Museum (Kyiv), the Borys Voznytsky Lviv National Art Gallery, the National Museum of Ukrainian Decorative Art (Kyiv), the Museum of Modern Ukrainian Art (Kyiv), the Direction of the Exhibitions of Ministry of Culture of Ukraine (Kyiv), the Direction of Exhibitins of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (Kyiv), the All-Russia Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art (Moscow), the Prycarpathian Museum of Arts in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Museum, the National Museum of Hutsul and Pokuttya Folk Art in Kolomyia (Ivano-Frankivsk Region), and private collections in Ukraine, Canada, France, Germany, Poland, Russia, USA.
She graduated from the Lviv College of Decorative and Applied Arts and the Lviv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts (now the Lviv National Academy of Arts).
The artist has participated with paintings, graphics and artistic textiles in more than 150 exhibitions - a quarter of them international (Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Russia), as well as 31 solo exhibitions.
