Daniel Côté

I live in Quebec, a multicultural and predominantly French-speaking province. Multidisciplinary artist, I am passionate about the arts, digital painting, sculpting and bronze modeling. My love for the arts dates back to my youth and I have devoted myself to it more seriously since my retirement

In my youth, I really loved drawing. During the summer holidays, at the school near my house, there were arts activities, such as pottery and clay manipulation, enameling on copper. I really enjoyed doing these activities, and that’s probably where my love for the arts came from.
At my early twenties, I became an apprentice goldsmith and over 5 years I learned the trade from every angle, which allowed me to have a clientele and to sell my creations.
Destiny meant that my active professional life moved me away from arts, I only found my way to the arts when I pre-retired.
As I am self-taught, I learned to work with copper sheet, to manipulate and give them sculptural form and color them. Online training, workshops with masters.
I followed several online courses on the New Master Academy website: drawing, modeling, painting.
For several years, I have loved doing digital painting, making creations by myself using traditional techniques, but on a computer.
