My American parents were living in Nova Scotia when I was born in 1979 so I am of mixed nationalities. We moved to Boone, North Carolina, that's where I grew up, in the beautiful Appalachain mountains. I attended the University of North Carolina (Wilmington / Charlotte) earning a Bachelors degree in Studio art. After graduating...... I got a job as a janitor at a YMCA in Maine. I lived next in a rooming house in Savannah, Georgia for a while, where I painted some 11.5 x 14 inch acrylic paintings on paper and worked in a grocery store. I joined the army in 2004 as a medic. I wanted to see what it was like. It was good exercise to say the least. I did some 8.5 x 11 on paper during that time. After that I had enough money to pay off my college loans and move to San Juan, Puerto Rico. I painted more 8.5 x 11 paintings and hung out on the beach. Next I went to Canada and did lots of strange jobs through the W.W.O.O.F. organization. After that I wanted to find a way to make a living as an artist. I have since been doing that. I currently live with my wife Natalia in Brooklyn and am represented by Moberg Gallery.
