Igor Eliseev is an artist.
His professional art carrier includes 25 solo exhibitions, 15 of them in various art galleries in Moscow, Abu Dhabi (UAE), Guangzhou (China), participation in 4 international art fairs and 2 international art residencies (China, Saudi Arabia).
Igor has created a number of conceptual series of paintings, such as: “The Invisible Treasures”, “The Sands of Time”, “The Sky Sultans “, “The Time of Desire “, “Magic Geometry”, “Heavenly Domes”, “Magical Carpets”.
А significant stage in his work during last years is, according to the author, one of them - “Magical Carpets”. The source of inspiration is ancient Turkish and Turkmen weaving. Traditional images and ornaments were modified or supplemented by new motifs, unexpected plots, fantastic images. This artistic transformation gives to the ancient carpets a completely new shape, where static forms seem to come to life creating a new reality with the special mystical atmosphere. Mysterious and radiant, the figurative works border on surrealism and are replete with geometric patterns and motifs of ancient Arab art.
