Atanas Gadjev
Was born on July 30, 1960.
receiving his MFA in Ceramics in 1987. He is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists since 1991, and co-founder of Lingua Franca association. He works mainly in the field of easel and monumental ceramic sculpture, while experimenting with different possibilities for printing on clay and paper, and exploring methods of under glaze painting and the mixing of clay and paper masses. He has made more that 25 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad, including "Kafka Express" in Sofia, Bratislava, Vienna and Prague (2011 – 2012) and "Objects from clay and paper" in Madrid (2013).
His art education began in the National High School of Stage and Film Design - Plovdiv, where he was in the class of Ivan Topalov. He is a graduate of The National Academy of Art – Sofia, where he was in the class of Professor Venko Kolev,
He has made more that 25 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad, including "Kafka Express" in Sofia, Bratislava, Vienna and Prague (2011 – 2012) and "Objects from clay and paper" in Madrid (2013).
