Adrian Barrett

Born in Nottingham England in 1943 and grew up with the smell of oil paint watching my Aunt paint for hours in her studio.Started my working life in photography,moving to New Zealand at the age of 17 and continuing my photography career for forty years,only turning my attention to oil painting a few years ago.My painting is born out of a lifetime career in professional photography, which is a considerably faster means of expressing oneself. I now feel that the time taken to convey the artist's impression, is no longer an issue but a wonderful time consuming process of research, building, and experimentation.
