I painted and taught art in South Africa for most my life doing mural work, paint finishes, magazine styling, DIY interior design spreads for magazines. I have sold my work through the years in boutique galleries and private shows.
After bringing up 2 amazing children with an incredible husband we immigrated. I am now trained to practice in the Mental Health sector working with children and teens in New Zealand, using my creativity for healing and well being.
Currently I am engaged in exploring the shifts and transformations that develop in the flow of water colour landscapes, this mimics the change and flow in the landscapes themselves. I am enjoying the colour, light, texture, space, that allow the spaces to connect and meaning to evolve through the constantly morphing fluidity of the medium.
I have mostly been always been an acrylic fan, enjoying the thick, lush, immediacy in oversized portraits, figures and scenes that inspire.
I studied Fine Art in 1986 in South Africa, I painted and taught in South Africa
