Michael Stewart

Michael Stewart works in many media including painting, drawing, sculpture and print making. Ranging from figurative to abstract, his work invariably incorporates multiple layers of meaning. He has had numerous group and solo shows of his work in New York City as well as in galleries throughout the Northeast.

Michael received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wittenberg University, where he studied graphic design and fine arts. He also studied painting with David Leffel and Frank O’Cain at the Art Student’s League in New York City, sculpture with Martine Vaugel at the National Academy in New York City and in the Loire Valley, France, painting and collage with Stewart Diamond in New York City, and printmaking with Bill Behnken and Michael Pelletteri at the Art Students League.
