Paul Ferguson

Paul Ferguson is a Scottish contemporary artist living in Glasgow whose dramatic and intense colours give an ever changing plethora of dynamic tones, just like nature erupting and evoking meditative emotions,
with no preparatory concept prior to it being constructed.
His paintings have been heavily influenced by Miro and Picasso, and he loves to create using all types of mediums from charcoal to spray paint, lava rock to metal all adding to the texture and final finish of the piece, almost bringing it to life so to speak, in fact all of Paul’s work rewards prolonged staring into the canvas.
He is looking to project all his thoughts and feelings at that particular time on to the canvas as strokes and gestures, every one with extreme precision, and that can lead to weeks and months even sometimes years to complete a painting and even then at that late stage he can decide once it’s finished that he is not happy with it and then add and make changes culminating in multiple layers that most of his paintings are renowned for.
