Steven Hagy

I went to Penn State located in the middle of Pa. So if you didn't like landscapes going in you learned to like them. Before that I grew up in and around Baltimore hence my work dealing social observations. I admire the work of the social realists in particular Philip Evergood. I studied with Enrique Montenegro learning a great deal about color and brush work. I also studied with Richard Meyhew learning what he liked to call the "Color grid". I also love the work of Maurice de Vlaminck and Oskar Kokoschka.
