"My art uses the line, strokes, emotions, space and forms of oriental calligraphy.
My subjects are rendered through degrees of abstraction, a feeling that describes a higher level of beauty, more divine than physical.
Symbolic, flowing, sensual, and free, my art conveys hopes for peacefully influencing an audience."
Regina Doi, from Tokyo, Japan is a self-taught painter and sculptor.
Born from a long line of artist horsewomen and cavalrymen from Hiroshima and Prague, Regina blends Eastern cultural influences in her art – those of emotion and movement in simplified space – with Western materials and technique.
