I have pretty much been an artist all of my life. My interest in Impressionism really peaked in 2008 when I took an art class from a local Russian Impressionist. Now I really enjoy painting plein air/alla prima and will not paint from photographs. I have to be right there!
Currently studying the foundations of art through the Virtual Art Academy. Learned impressionistic techniques from Russian Impressionist Marina Zavalova. Even as I am out and about I like to observe values, hues, and saturation in my surroundings.
