Steven Allison

I am a young painter who focuses on telling stories and expressing full emotional ranges in my work. I am heavily inspired by surrealists, expressionism, narrative and religious works. Most of my ideas come from reading Buddhist texts, books on existentialism, and my own experiences with severe depression. Using art as a way to manage my illness and "fix" my worldview, I don't see my state as a mental illness per se but as a much-needed shift in perspective.
