Thorsten Groetschel

In my Pictures I totally deliver myself up to the Interplay of imagining, remembering, feeling, thinking and perceiving. I am using Photography to separate the places of my all day life, the Things that surround me. My goal is to separate them from their physical Presence, to de-materialize them. Painting and Drawing enable me to re-construct these Places and Things. My Pieces are like fictitious Documents of a real Event or foreign memories – differently dyed, diffently felt, newly matched.
