Tony Nilsson

I'm a selfemployed Art Director in my early 50's. I have the privelige to be able to live out my passion for art. I split my time between my company and my studio. This has become more than a hobby for me with shows in London, Miami and Italy as well as some shows at various galleries in Sweden.

No formal training within the Arts. I was admitted and started at Otis Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles in 1990. But, I quit and went back home pursuing a career within advertising. So this year 2018 marks my 31st year in the advertising business. A pretty good platform for an art career, and it's high time to let the artist take charge and claim the stage. I've been painting ever since I was able to hold a pencil in my hand. As I see it the pencil or brush is just an outgrowth of my hand. Whenever I don't have pencil and paper within reach I feel pretty uncomfortable. I always sketch and paint.
