Francesco Lomonaco, born in Bari in 1984 and raised in Montescaglioso (Matera), from 2020 works under the pseudonym LOMO. LOMO's work has been exhibited internationally, including at the World Urban Forum 7 in Medellín (Colombia) as a chosen artist within the M.A.C.A.O. collective, one of the most important global platforms dedicated to the future of cities, curated by STEALTH.unlimited and Cittadellarte; at the Museo del Presente in Milan alongside institutions such as the Van Abbemuseum and Stroom Den Haag; and within the a>Monte program supported by the Fondazione SoutHeritage, recipient of the Guggenheim Prize for Enterprise & Culture and recognized among the Luoghi del Contemporaneo by MiBAC. In 2016 he presented Abbassamenti di soffitto at Macao — New Centre for Arts and Culture in Milan, and in 2019 he took part in Matera European Capital of Culture with a solo presentation of Madonnaro 2.0 in Piazza del Sedile. Since 2020 his work has been permanently exhibited at the OpenSea Virtual Gallery as an NFT collection(NFT sales temporarily suspended).
