I have always painted. I studied at St Martins School of Art in London (83-86) doing my BA there. I have exhibited ever since and my paintings have been acquired by private and corporate collections.
My work is about my relationship with Life, the Earth, the seen and unseen world. Painting helps me to walk between the worlds and to express what I feel. This has affirmed and fed my journey through paint, colour and imagery. My paintings can be personal stories, they can be prescient and the subject matter predominantly stemming from an intuition or inspired by the light and colour of the autumn leaves, the curve of the hill or contrasts between land and the sky.
I mainly work in acrylic and mixed media, interested in building layers of colour and texture. A lot of my work is large and on canvas but some smaller and I enjoy working on board because of the texture it brings.
I live rurally in East Kent near Canterbury in the UK, with big skies up here on the Downs
