Chiara De Zan develops an artistic practice that intertwines painting, collage and digital media in a coherent and radically contemporary vision. Her work is based on the interaction between matter and sign, where each fragment – of paper, fabric or pixel – becomes part of a layered and tactile visual narrative.

Through a conscious use of mixed media, De Zan builds dense surfaces, animated by lively textures and calibrated gestures. Her compositions are distinguished by a subtle balance between randomness and control, where imperfection is an integral part of the visual language. The digital intervention, never invasive, integrates as a conceptual extension of the manual gesture, generating a dynamic tension between analog and artificial.

The artist addresses the theme of disintegration as an aesthetic and conceptual process: what is fragmented is never lost, but is recomposed in new forms of meaning. Her works evoke a diffuse, silent memory, constructed through superimpositions, erasures, transparencies and chromatic glazes.
