Jami Amerine has been telling stories with color and creativity for as long as she can remember. A self-taught artist with an insatiable love for storytelling, she has been doodling since she could toddle. At five, she covered an entire wall-sized chalkboard in her bedroom with a sprawling cityscape—cats perched on fire escapes, laundry swaying on clotheslines, and tiny lives unfolding in miniature detail. That same passion for narrative seeps into her work today, where every brushstroke and line invites you into a world brimming with depth, whimsy, and emotion. Whether it’s acrylic, oil, ink, graphite, watercolor, clay, wood, or wire, Jami’s art isn’t just seen—it’s experienced. Jami is also a multi-time bestselling author of women’s nonfiction, fiction, workbooks, journals, and coloring books. Jami and her husband of 30+ years, Justin, live on the island of Oahu. They have six children, 4 grown and flown, and two young sons, Sam, 13, and Charlie 11. They love to watch whales on their lanai, cook, and paddle in the ocean. Jami and Justin are advocates of foster care and adoption.
Jami has a Master’s of Education in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin Simmons University. She holds a B.S. in Vocational Family and Consumer Science from Abilene Christian University; as well as an associate's degree in Floral Design from Trimm International Design School. Jami has numerous hours of continuing education and certifications in yoga, group aerobics, cycling, meditation, self-guided hypnotherapy, manifestation, spirituality, color therapy, art therapy,
