Harry Noza (born in 1981) is a painter from Almonte, Andalucía, Spain, now living in Lisbon. His path into art has been guided by a lifelong curiosity and a deep passion for creativity. He studied Philosophy at Birkbeck, University of London, and Fine Arts at Central Saint Martins in London—an education that continues to shape his thoughtful and layered approach to painting. For Harry, painting is not just a profession but a vocation. What began as a childhood love of drawing became a full-time practice after a transformative encounter with a Dana Schutz exhibition in 2014. Since then, he has dedicated himself to exploring pigments and fabrics, pushing the limits of figurative painting through experimentation, imagination, and emotional honesty. His work is inspired by both personal experience and fantasy, creating a vibrant tension between reality and imagination. Color is central to his practice, serving as a direct channel for emotion and energy. Humor, irony, and playfulness often surface in his paintings, inviting viewers to look beyond their expectations and engage with the unexpected. Harry’s large-scale works—often more than two meters tall—stand out for their mix of pop-art influence, storytelling, and strong formal presence. They depict everyday life while reflecting the inner worlds of people navigating a fast, chaotic society in search of meaning and connection. Beyond their depth of content, his paintings are made to bring originality, warmth, and vitality into contemporary spaces. They are both visually striking and emotionally engaging, designed to spark reflection, conversation, and joy. At the core of Harry’s practice is a strong belief in authenticity, humility, and the power of art to transform and connect. His work offers an open invitation—to explore, to feel, and to discover beauty in the unpredictable.
