Iren Shtefan

I am an abstract experimental artist with a background in architecture. I work with fluid acrylic, impasto, and mixed media, exploring materials and their properties to create original, expressive artworks.
With extensive experience in architecture, interior design, and advertising, I have been fully dedicated to my artistic practice since 2016.
Viewers encounter in my paintings an emotional dialogue shaped by their own state of mind and the feelings my work evokes.


About creation process...
I always work in expressive way promoted by inner impulse which identifies the creation process.
This way of art fascinates me so much because I constantly keep discovering some new tools for painting, new techniques, new combinations and ideas. What I enjoy the most and what gives me the inspiration is that spontaneous process when the paint flows randomly and you can observe this small universe on the canvas, or when you take off the top layer of paint with spatula and there appears unique background, sophisticated color.
