Maryda Geraci

Maryda Geraci is an artist born in Naples in 1967. After her fine art studies she worked as an assistant costume designer for the Italian television production company. She also discovered that she had a real passion for illustrating. During her varied career, she has created pictures about graphic design, watercolor paintings, books for children, and collaborated in publishing several international works for the young children. She has also worked for many years as an Interior Decorator and as a ceramist. She uses, in her paintings, charcoal and acrylics. She composes installations with "pieces" found in nature assembling diverse items into what she calls a new life.

"My art is where "I know the way". Where I am myself always and where I feel free to communicate. It is the place where I get lost, but I never get lost, because I can always find myself, without the anguish of the unknown. This is my way I know. In this journey my creative language is a mirror of myself, is the story of my sensitivity and of what is happening around me and the world I live in.
