Hello, my name is Nicole and I am a young artist living in the Seattle (USA) area. I am a mother and the creator of Fluid Lion Studio.

What brought me to painting was my desire to express my feelings of grief and loss. My brother/soul mate/best friend traumatically and tragically passed away in October 2019 and I was emotionally destroyed. Covid-19 and the pandemic happened shortly after and my world was once again, turning upside down with very little relief and little hope of a sense of "normalcy". I one day picked up some paint and a couple of canvases and began exploring fluid painting. I can still remember the first one I did, I had my music going and as I would began just mixing the paint alone, the sense of a single ounce of peace filled my heart again. So, I kept at it, I kept teaching myself and learning new techniques. I studied. I watched and listened, silently and relentlessly. I kept every painting in a designated spot away from any elements that could negatively impact the paintings (I have too many pets LOL).
