Lorant Szathmary

Lorant Szathmary works with traditional plate cameras. The artist himself claims that the tedious process involved gives him the freedom to meditate in the course of his work. That is, plate camera work gives him time to think, freeing him from the contemporary tyranny of impatience. The process forces him to concentrate and allows the natural composition of the world around us to unfold.
