Valerio Bacciolo

I began my artistic journey in the 2000s. Since the beginning there was the need to represent a female figure in a sculptural key, that would strongly express the role of women and mothers in contemporary times, taking up what was once the myth of the Mother Goddess. This is how the Dogaressa was born, a theme that I love very much because it represents the universality of love.

A few years later I felt the need to represent the theme of the bond between the human being and the divine entity. Looking with an eye towards the past, the idea of representing the spiritual guides of the future was born, thus the Popes were born, who unite the different religions in themselves.

All the themes I deal with are developed both in sculptural and pictorial form.

I approached the world of art at a mature age, attending private lessons; because of always being passionate about art, I started attending these schools, where various teachers gave me the knowledge and skills that allowed me to become the artist I am today.

I have participated in several collective art exhibitions in which I displayed both painting and sculpture works.
