Nusrat Jahan's art is deeply rooted in feminist ideals, using bold colors, textures, and everyday objects to explore the complex desires and truths of women. Through her inventive compositions, she reflects on the unique challenges women face while celebrating their strength and resilience. Her art serves as a platform for self-expression, offering a voice free from societal judgment or rejection.
Nusrat believes that men and women, both with equal rights and privileges, bring unique strengths and capabilities. When women's talents and perspectives are fully embraced alongside men's, together they can shape a more just and thriving world.
She approaches her work with the belief that art is not just about reproducing what is seen but about expressing deeper truths. As she often says, 'I paint objects as I think them, not as I see them,' inviting viewers to engage with the conceptual depth and empowerment behind every stroke.
