Leead Shamir is a contemporary painter who is influenced Modernism and African Art and the world around her.

Drawing inspiration from the natural harmony of the desert and the sea, and influenced by legends and folklore encountered during her extensive travels, she weaves symbols and natural shapes to form her bold, distinctive canvases.

Having recently extended her exhibition reach to the UK and the USA her work is enjoyed by collectors worldwide.

Shamir was trained in fine art and has been painting all her life. As well as featuring in numerous solo and collective exhibitions, she has worked in art education and collaborated with several charitable and social projects.
