Linda Tourino

Linda's art reflects her deep interest in the fascinating world of psychiatry, psychology, sociology, and the dynamics of human relationships. Emotions, states of being, and feelings all come into play when deciphering her abstract work. However, many of her paintings are created in (and with) a cheeky, irreverent spirit.

She loves the use of bold colors and use of metallic paint and paints for the pure joy and ecstasy of it.

Born originally in Jamaica, West Indies. Grew up in South Florida, Ft. Lauderdale area.

Currently lives in the foothills, near Asheville, in North Carolina.

I began with acrylic painting on canvas and have been recently trying my hand at gesso, resin, mixed media, etc. Art has opened up an entirely new world for me, and I'm so grateful. I hope my artwork speaks to you in some way, as I paint to contribute, something, in a way. Does that make sense? I love my fellow artists and patrons out there!
