Megan Jaster

American painter whose work demonstrates her interest in innovation and reconciliation. The sources of her images are derived from a combination of affluential figures and historically charged sites where significant events have shape the human fabric.

Jaster paints a world open to interpretation and reinterpretation. Her paintings are riddled with figures that are imbedded in an world that exists within us and out side of us at the same time. She compiles imagery from her own photography, live models and other media as research as necessary. She constructs digital collages of imagery before arriving at the final composition but leave the painting to unforeseen influences while in process.
