Ana Maria Hoyos

Ana Maria Hoyos is a Colombian-born American artist whose work delves into the complexities of identity, memory, and the contemporary human condition. Through a compelling visual language, she navigates the emotional landscape of modern womanhood, merging past and present into evocative, layered narratives.
Trained at the Nohra Lennon School of Arts in Colombia and a graduate of the Escuela de Bellas Artes in Cartagena, Hoyos has developed a distinctive practice that bridges abstraction, figuration, and abstract expressionism. Her paintings are driven by intuition and emotion, resulting in powerful compositions that resonate on both a personal and universal level.
Her work is represented in galleries and private collections throughout the United States and internationally. Recent exhibitions include Galerie Thuillier in Paris and L’Espace 30 in Liège, Belgium. Hoyos has received multiple awards and honors, and her work has been widely recognized in publications and critical platforms.
