artist statement: Lilli Hill ist eine in Kasachstan geborene Kunstmalerin. 1993 zog sie nach Deutschland um. Lilli Hill lebt und arbeitet in Berlin und Thalwil. Sie ist vor allem für ihre gemalte Akte bekannt. Während L. Hill in den ersten Jahren ihres Schaffens unterschiedliche Themen hatte, wurde sie in den letzten 12 Jahren hauptsächlich mit ihren - oft eigenwilligen - Aktgemälden bekannt. Diese sind bis heute Schwerpunkt ihrer Arbeiten geblieben. Die Motive meiner Bilder entspringen dem Individualismus und dem Leben selbst, vom Leben als Bühne und Rollenspiel des Menschen. Ich liebe und lebe diese Theatralisierung auf exzessive Weise in meinen Werken aus. Sie eröffnet mir die Möglichkeit ungezwungener und lustvoller Darstellung. Es gibt mir die Freiheit die Regisseurin und zugleich Hauptdarstellerin des Theaters des Lebens in zahllosen Ausdrucksvarianten zu sein.
