I'm a little over 30 years old self-taught artist, living in Israel for the past 25 years. I was born in St. Petersburg Russia, and immigrated to Israel a little after the collapse of the soviet union. As a young kid I was greatly inspired by a small art book my father brought home from one of his trips with their orchestra (Violinist for the Israeli Camerata Jerusalem for 25 years). I never knew true art before that, the best mumbo jumbo I created was macaroni pictures when i was in kindergarten and my parents hung it on the fridge, proudly saying it was incredibly vivid and realistic, but what does a 5 years old know about realism, not much I can honestly say now judging by an old photograph I've found in the attic, showing my endeavors as the Picasso of macaroni art. my education comes from absorbing experiences in life from as many different aspects as I can grasp, because I see life as one big book of stories, all are different, but all are connected, and the best way to bridge the gap is by learning about life from every possible direction. I've spent 2 years in NYU studying Psychology, with an aspect on occupational field. I later dropped out and moved to MGU in Moscow, Russia to study in a veterinary school for another year, again dropping out with the feeling that I grasped what I wanted from it yet did not find my calling there either. I studied computer science and worked for a few big companies such as HP and Microsoft, but realized after a few years that IT and Hardware engineering was not my pickle either, not that I wasn't any good at what I did, I simply did not find anything to hold my interest there and a banal opaque life is no life at all in my eyes. I later worked as a kindergarten teacher for half a year, probably the best time of my life as kids brought me tons of happiness. A year ago I began experiencing the effects of a PTSD from my military service and developed a chronic insomnia, coupled up with the occasional nightmares, and it has rendered my daily job quite useles...
