In her work, Caniz aims to communicate through simplified imagery that speaks to the viewer using kitschy and colourful representations, with symbols and references that link people to the culture we all live in. With a distinctive, and very personal style, Caniz uses symbols to interpret realism, transposing objects to a different scale, to create icons that are highly related to the experience of today’s society.
