Walid Amri is a Tunisian artist based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He belongs to the young artists generation from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), which has become buoyant especially after the Arab Springs (initiated in 2010) and the wave that brought freedom of speech and the possibility for many Arab artists to express their complex identity, their doubts and their dreams.
